Andy pandy my aunty May. Would call me she was the best aunty a nephew could have. I used to go camping there with my family like when I was around 10 yrs old she always made our family feel welcome as did my uncle Earnie. I have such fond memories of the Miller family and how my aunty always welcomed me when I used to ride up there from Van. To say hi and stay a few days awesome cook she was always lots to eat she would see to that. Take care of me when Bud my older cousin an I hitchhiked to Quenel ( Buds idea) and I got sunstroke she looked after me so well. I will for sure miss my favourite aunty I loved that lady! I know she is with the rest of the family now. Probably meeting my daughter I lost for the first time. RIP my fav. Aunty till I see you again love you and all the family

Go way back...no way, way, way back in time to about the year 1960. We were the Murphy St. gang. There was Buddy, Gerald (we called him Clem) Burrows, John Hickling, Brian Peever, Doug Sargent, Dave Thomas, John Teleske and then were the little brothers who we drove mad, that would be little Bobby Miller and Lorne Martindale. Anyway the gathering place was the Miller house on Murphy. We played Monopoly and other card games out back, we ran around the neighbourhood playing "Capturing". We were there so often that little Bobby used to say we should pay room and board. It was "Leave it to Beaver" type families in those days. Mrs.Miller, was a stay at home mom who always was there for "the boys".....there were no girls involved. Mrs. Miller was a kindly motherly type...of course we thought she and all our mothers were really old. I laugh now thinking she was only 37.Those were the days before television, computers all all that...you know the drill. Parents were not the entertainment committee or cash machines. We grew up in the day when we roamed the streets. Mrs. Miller didn't worry when Buddy and I took off on a 90 day bicycle trip to Penticton and back. We all are fortunate to have had her in our lives for 97 years.
