Mike was born on January 26, 1928 in Yahk, B.C. and passed away peacefully May 6th  2018. He was survived by his wife Elizabeth (a.k.a. Jimmy), daughter Judy (Wayne) and brother John. Predeceased by his father Joe, mother Kalena and son Bruce.

He moved with his family when he was 8 years old to Quesnel. He attended schooling and then at the age of sixteen moved to Hamilton Ontario to live with an uncle and held a few misc. jobs. He then moved back to Quesnel to work on his family's farm. In 1947 Mike bought a truck and was self-employed (M.Kohanko Trucking) where he started off hauling lumber and cattle for several years.

Mike met his wife  Elizabeth (a.k.a. Jimmy) Moxley and they were married June 17, 1950. They purchased land in Quesnel and built a home and raised their two children Bruce and Judy.

In his later years of trucking Mike purchased a New Ford Louisville truck (which he loved) and branched out hauling skidders, cats, lumber, hay and short logs. Business was steady and the work was long hours and hard work

.

Mike enjoyed his time off with his family hunting, fishing and camping vacations with his family and his friends  and sitting by a campfire..He also enjoyed operating his John Deere Cat. He had a good sense of humor and good stories to tell. He will be sadly missed but memories are forever. Love and miss you "Doddie"
