Condolences to Janet, Devon and all of the Gassoff family.
My husband Joe was good friends with Doug growing up and Joe knew so much about them. I was introduced to the whole family at some point and I always felt welcomed by all of the Gassoff clan - a family well-respected in the community and well-known. When I met the Gassoff men, I was greeted with a handshake that would break my hand - seriously! You can always tell something about a man with a good handshake - strong, hardworking, and someone not to mess with. When Denise passed away, I'm sure that was one of the family's worst day - she's a brave, hardworking, and strong lady. Through the years, we were acquainted in many ways with our son Joey playing hockey/baseball/hunting with Curtis and little Dougie; Jessica and Denai born on the same day and played ball together; many camping trips at Bowron.
Thank you Gassoff family for your kindness and great friendship with our family. You are a family well-loved and respected in the community. We're sad to hear the loss of Gary. May he rest in peace.
Joe, Jenylyn MacDonald and Family

Im terribly saddened to see that we’ve lost another really fine man. Gary was an incredibly genuine and approachable man…a co-trades coworker who became a casual friend I always enjoyed and looked forward to a conversation with long after projects were completed. We crossed paths several times on projects and from that very first meeting, Gary had a special no airs way about him. He was highly respected in his trade because he was humble and kind to all. Im proud to have known him. Rest in Eternal Peace good man…when its our turn…we know you will have a coffee ready, and the lights on to guide us.

My Condolences to Janet and the Family. Gary was a great man. He taught me the meaning of the words respect and integrity. He always treated everyone with respect took the time out of his busy schedule to ask about you and the family. He had the best memory I had ever seen if we were working on a job he would point out the wire is right there about a foot up. Sure enough I would cut the hole and it would be there.when you asked how he knew he would tell you he wired the place thirty years ago.
Rest Peacefully my Friend

Ill always remember the warmth of the Gassoff home and the big smile on his face whenever I came to say hi. Gary and Janet were so welcoming and wonderful to Devin's friends. He raised such a respectful and thoughtful boy. He lived an incredible life and I feel so fortunate to have been a small part of it. Thank you Gary for being you. I'm thinking of everyone today and always.
