James Alexander Goodbrand

1954 ~ 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Goodbrand announce his passing in Quesnel on October 13th, 2024. Jim passed peacefully in hospital from cancer, with his good friend Lisa Enquist by his side.

Jim was born and raised in North Vancouver, where he still has good friends.

Jim lived a life of adventure and sometimes misadventure. He travelled extensively throughout Europe and Asia.  He was a skilled carpenter, building craftsman homes and that led him towards graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering when he was 39.

Jim spent many years on and off in Quesnel and retired there to enjoy the company of good friends.  He  was survived by his siblings, Doug (Wendy), Diane (Bob,) Linda, Neil (Jeri) and his brother in law, Ben.  He was predeceased by his sister Carol. Jim had thirteen nieces and nephews, who were all very fond of him and loved to tell stories about Uncle Jimmy’s antics. Another passion of Jim’s was music. Jim loved to entertain friends and family with his guitar renditions of Bob Dylan and other favourites.

He will be missed!
