Obituary of Margaret Rose Whittaker

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Rose Whittaker, who departed this life on July 25, 2024, in Quesnel, BC, Canada, at the age of 91. Born on August 12, 1932, in Sheffield, England, Margaret led a full and vibrant life.

Margaret began her career in England, working as a clipper on the trams and later in office roles within the steel mills. In 1972, she embarked on a new chapter of her life, moving to Canada, where she continued her career in retail. In 1979, Margaret moved to Quesnel, where she chose to devote herself to caring for her family, a role she cherished deeply.

Margaret leaves behind her beloved children: Susan (Gary) Deveau, Yvonne (Jeff) Fury, and Steven (Wendy) Whittaker. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

Margaret will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and her kind and generous spirit. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
