Obituary of Robert Ceal Lattman

With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Rob Lattman after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He left behind him a loving wife of 49 years, Gale.  Children, Sean (Chelsea), Nicole, Tammy (Dogan) and grandchildren, Haley, Gracie, Ella, Deniz and Yelina.  Sisters, Lynda (Terry) and Judy (Reiny) and many nieces & nephews.  He was predeceased by an infant grandson, Jeremiah, and his parents.

Rob was born in Quesnel to Rob and Helen Lattman and was raised with his two sisters Lynda & Judy.  “Their Little Brother” brought them many years of joy.
He was athletic and loved hockey, which took him to Germany to play.  He made many friends there and some of them came to Canada so he could show off his country.
When returning to Canada, he played for the Quesnel Kangaroos and travelled across Canada with the team.  Another love of Rob’s was hunting and he spent many years in the bush with his dad, his wife, son and daughter, learning and teaching the art of capturing the prize moose or deer.  From the bounty that Rob would return with, came many great meals that he would prepare and share.  His ability to cook a moose roast was paralleled by none.

Rob was a great family man.  He was as tough as nails but also as soft as a marshmallow.  His family always came first and then came the grandchildren.  He was known fondly by his grandkids as, “Pie”, and he would do anything for them.

Rob worked his whole life in Quesnel, many of those years at the BC Liquor Store and made many friends throughout his time in the workforce.
Rob will be missed by all.
