My deepest sympathy to Shirl's family. She was a lovely, special lady. I spent many summers at their cabin at Clearwater Lake. Late night snacks of toast dunked in hot chocolate and just free for all fun. Celebrating her 80th birthday with her large clan was a real pleasure. May she continue to sing and laugh in heaven. As a first cousin to your Dad Gerald I never had the pleasure of meeting any of your family except for your mom and dad. I had few occasions of spending a few lunches in Quesnel with your mom we spoke on the phone a few times a year. As written in the obits you didn't have to know her too long to see she was a wonderful woman i wish I had known her longer. She was a beautiful positive lady and loved her family to the moon My condolences to all of you and also to Brian who would drop her off for our unches in Quesnel. My condolences to Shirley's family... she was a great lady. I remember 1972 when she was just starting her boutique. She had the clothes at her home and my mother need a new outfit so we went to Shirley's house to try on clothes. My mom picked out a royal blue pantsuit with a white blouse and loved that outfit for years and insisted she be buried in that outfit which she was.... It came back into style several times... Good memories of Shirley and tolerating the mass amounts of kids in her home... you will be missed. sincerely Leslie (Karpick) Scott
