Obituary of Marlene Bernice Richardson

Marlene Bernice Richardson passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023

Marlene was born October 27, 1931 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. She moved to Vancouver with her parents when she was a young girl.

In December 1950 she married “Ted” and in 1951 their son Ronnie was born. 2 years later their daughter Lorrie was born and completed their family.

The family moved to Quesnel where they made their home at Bouchie Lake. She worked as a seamstress at Littler Floors and made drapes for G.R. Baker Hospital.

Marlene was predeceased by her husband Ted, daughter-in-law Pat Richardson and her parents Cecil and Bernice Milner.

She is survived by her son Ron Richardson, daughter Lorrie (Doug) Swirhun, grandsons Scott (Leanna) Richardson, Todd Richardson and grandparents Don Dee (Sheldon) Legare, Jodie (Jason) Isaac, great grandkids Joseph, Thomas, Brianne Foley, Jonathon, Reagan Richardson, Jessica, Andrew Richardson, Jayden, Kaid and Keison, great great grandkids Layne and Avery Foley, Elizabeth and Katherine Richardson (Dwinell) and Kada Richardson.

Marlene loved to paint and enjoyed her flowers. She always looked forward to a burnt hot dog on a fire. She must have had shares in the Kleenex factory and enjoyed watching the Canucks play hockey and the Seattle Seahawks football.

Family gathering is yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations to the cancer society would be appreciated by the family.

Marlene will be sorely missed by family and friends.
