Obituary of Arden Clifton Miller

Arden Clifton Miller passed away February 25th, 2023 at the age of 78. He was born on a very cold night in Valhalla Alberta. He had 4 siblings Dick (Helen) Miller (deceased), Clara (John Loberg, deceased), Jean (Curtis) Johnson (deceased) and Mac (Pat, deceased) Miller.

They moved off the homestead in 1948 and made their way to Quesnel where he went to school and meet my mom Sylvia Johannesen (now deceased). They were married October 30th, 1964. He had two daughters, Diane Miller who gave him his first grandchild Anthony Miller, and his second daughter Catherine (Curtis) Boucher who added to the family with two girls, Amanda and Taylor Boucher. He became a great grandfather to Rylee Boucher in 2017. He was always so happy to have her around.

He worked for the River Drive at Weldwood Plywood Plant in the 70’s and then moved on to his life-long career of loader operator. He spent many years with Garner Brothers Logging and then ended his career with the Nazko Logging Company retiring in 2009.  He and mom were now free to camp, fish and travel or just enjoy a Sunday drive down old logging roads.

He always had a passion for fishing, so when he met my mom it was a perfect match, they spent most of their free time trying out all the fishing holes they could get to.  There was a lot time spent on frozen lakes around the Cariboo. It was the best childhood we could ask for. Thank you dad you will always be in our hearts.
