Obituary of Stephen Leslie McGilloway
We regret to announce the passing of Stephen (Leslie) McGilloway on January 18th, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.
Born June 2nd, 1959, in Guelph, Ontario and growing up in Acton, he and his wife moved to BC in 1990 finally residing in Quesnel in 1994. He has been a successful business owner for many years. He did many renovations as the owner of Ideal Choice Construction & Maintenance. He then took over Act Fast Moving from his son Jody and operated it until Brenda took over on January 13th of this year.
He was a car enthusiast for many years and enjoyed restoring classic vehicles. His latest projects were a 1968 Ranchero, 1963 Ranchero, and was in the middle of restoring his wife’s dream car 1974 Javelin. He then turned to building motorcycle trikes and was very well known and loved in the biker community. He and his wife owned and operated Kick Stands Up Biker Shop. His road name was Jester due to his amazing sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Brenda (nee Watson), his children Michelle, Ryan & Jody, and stepsons Dennis (Nichole) & Joshua (Sierra). Grandchildren Dustin, Dane, Jaylee, Major, Keegan, and step-grandchildren Damon, Carter, Kianna, Kaidance, Kody, Kiefer, Alex & Carlos.
There will be a time of remembrance on February 10th at 9am at Clayton’s Funeral Home with a procession to Tranquility Gardens.
