Obituary of Carolyn Jane Sinclair

Carolyn was born on November 24, 1951 in Victoria, B.C. She passed away suddenly on October 20, 2022 in Quesnel, B.C. at the age of 70. A memorial service will be held on November 5th, 2022 at 1:00pm at Clayton’s Funeral Home in Quesnel, B.C.

 

Carolyn was survived by her loving husband Alex Sinclair, son Glenn Sinclair (Gayleen), daughter Laura Hender (Dave), grandsons Cameron, Cohen, Matthew & Drew. She was predeceased by her mother Helen Worth, father Arthur Worth and brother Jimmy Worth. She is survived by her brothers Gary Worth (Kathy), Wayne Worth (Lexi), sister Viki Hamber, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Alex and Carolyn were married on April 16, 1971. They spent 51.5 years together enjoying many adventures. Their first home was in Cobble Hill, where they welcomed their son Glenn and their daughter Laura. In 1979 they packed up and moved to Mackenzie, B.C., where they spent 38 years together. In 2017 they moved to Quesnel to be closer to family.

 

Carolyn was known for her love of crafts, gift baskets, famous coconut balls, and her amazing roast beef dinner. She loved a good garage sale and was often found roaming the streets of Mackenzie evading every stop sign in search of a good deal.

 

Carolyn volunteered with the Red Cross for years. She was involved in the Red Hat Society and cherished those memories with her friends. She was a florist, Avon Lady, answering service dispatcher, owner and operator of Carolyn’s Creations (craft business), and the assistant manager of the 7-11 in Mackenzie for years.

 

Carolyn was loved by many and known for her kindness and big heart. She was generous and took pride in gift giving. She loved visiting with others and playing cards with her sister and friends. She appreciated talking to her friends on the phone everyday. Carolyn loved going on adventures with her family and was often the main character in many funny stories. She was the pillar of the family, and her absence will be felt by all who knew her. Rest in peace mom, you are so missed.
