Obituary of Bill Beaulieu

With Billy in our lives, we laughed, were loved, and had way more fun! Billy filled our hearts with love and joy. Bill Beaulieu, also known as Papa Piggy, and Uncle Billy, loved us all equally, but he had an especially soft spot for all his puppies and piggies, and was always carrying a pup in his jacket, if not 5! Billy was the kindest, most-caring, jumped-to-help-anyone, loving man! We all remember Billy for his worry-free-ways! Billy would often say to us “Sit down, relax, and have a cup of coffee with me, and play a game of cards.”

Billy loved to tell his stories about the good-‘ol- days of fun- filled, troublemaking, fishing, and hunting adventures, of chasing girls, and of course, Billy was the king of practical jokes, and he could most certainly pull your leg!

Billy was a brave man, loved to take risks, and try new adventures. From the tough decades of sawmill work in the middle of the nights, onto building houses during the day with his dad, and starting a house framing construction business, named Hollissa after his first two girls. Billy also encouraged families by selling Registered Education Savings Plans. Dad had a restaurant with his sister Geraldine, which went on to be a family tradition, called Gerr’s Donairs! Another grand adventure was when Billy went on to start an ATV and trailer business called Buffalo Bill’s ATV and Trailer Rentals! I know one of his favorite parts was travelling with his wife Debbie across the country and down into the corners of the United States to pick up and deliver fancy cars with their trailers!

The biggest and most adventure-filled accomplishment of Billy’s life was training piggies and sharing his love for pig racing all over the province! He lived life BIG! Billy was the epitome of “Seize the Day,” and was full of surprises! Billy was most in his element when he entertained the 1000’s of people every year! Billy would exclaim, “There’s nothing quite like the excitement of the children stepping up to be the 1st to volunteer to help make the pig calls SU SU SUUU WEEEEE!!” Papa Piggy loved to see the crowd’s expression on their faces when he declared, “Are you ready to watch these Wee Willy Racers, race around the track at nearly 100 Miles an hour!?” Billy loved verifying his statement when witnessing the sheer astonishment of the crowd!

Dad lived for adventure!! His true love for pleasing people, making them smile and brightening their hearts, was clear in all his adventuring endeavors! We are so thankful for all the love Papa Piggy shared with us over the years. Papa Piggy loved all the many children, and he was a second father, and grandfather to many families! In every picture we see of Billy, he is sitting, holding, or snuggling amongst kids and babies. We were all drawn to Papa Piggy’s loving energy. We will always hold dear in our hearts and souls the amazing love we felt from being with Billy.

Billy is pre-deceased by his dear sister Alma, his father Wilbrod, his best friends Kelly Vipond and Ernie Bassett and his dear step – dad Gerry Penner. Billy is survived by his mother Lorette, his wife Deborah, his sisters Mona-Lisa, Geraldine, Lanita, and Celina. Billy is survived by his children, Jennifer, Melissa, Holly (Tyler), and Darren (Carmen). Billy is also survived by his grandchildren Alexis, Thomas, Kolby Damion, Cora, and Ashton.
