Worked with Dale for a few years back when we were young men. Quesnel was a busy little town and Dale knew it well. We were paving the barkerville hi way in 87. Dale and myself were known to like our good times and show up for work. Never missed a beat though had it in the bag and a few of our co workers found this hilarious. One day we showed up and were doing our morning routines around the paver. I needed a shovel so I turned towards Dale and yelled"hey Rio grab me a patch" the whole crew heard this.I was asked by our supervisor "why did you call Dale Rio" This is how he got the nickname Rio. Likes to have a real good time" of course he liked to call me Hollywood. Miss you brother I will always remember our adventures

My thoughts and Prayers are with your family at this sad time. I worked with Dale for a few years when he came to Quesnel Paving a true Gentlemen and all around nice guy. He loved to make people laugh with his quick wit.
