Obituary of Arlene Janice Loxterkamp
It is with great sadness that the family of Arlene Janice Loxterkamp announce her passing, peacefully at home, on Saturday, June 13th, 2020.
Arlene was born on November 12, 1950 in Kelvington, Sask. to Bill and Lilly (Hughes) Bilawchuk. As a lifelong musician Arlene was an active member of her community. Performing in many bands from the age of 12 and onwards, she shared her love for music through her talents on the keyboard and accordion. Arlene was an avid baker, ambitious gardener, and she also did noon hour supervision at Kersley Elementary for a number of years. Truly, music, her children, and gardening were the backbeats of her life.
Arlene was preceded in death by her brothers: Eugene, Ron, Ken and Larry; and her parents: Bill and Lilly. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Alvin; children: Lloyd (Brenda) and Amanda (Ryan); grandchildren: Ava and Logan; sisters: Margaret, Ruby and Jane (Reg); brother: Ed; and sister-in-law Darlene.
Arlene was an amazing Mom, Grandma, Sister, Wife and Friend; she will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A Tea will be held for Arlene at the Kersley Hall on August 7th, 2021.
