Obituary of Rosalie Florence Simmonds

The family of Rosalie “Rose” Simmonds sadly announce her passing on Monday October 19, 2020 at Dunrovin Park Lodge. 

Rose was born June 16, 1940 in Nordegg, Alberta to Erminio and Pearl Facco.

The family moved to Hinton, Alberta where Rose later met and married Ray, her husband of 60 years.

In 1962, their son Larry was born and in 1965 their daughter, Elaine.   In 1966 the family moved to Prince Rupert until 1972 when they then relocated in Quesnel, making it their forever home. 

Rose worked as a Teller in the bank.  She loved curling and crafting.  She was an avid sports fan, always cheering on her Canucks, Blue Jays and Lions.

Rose loved camping and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She leaves behind her husband Ray, Son Larry (Maureen), Daughter Elaine (Garth), Granddaughters Kyleen (Tyler), Kaitlyn (Curtis) and great grandchildren Damon, Riley, Jayce and Serenity. 

There will be no Funeral at this time.  In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to Dunrovin Park Lodge in Rose’s name.
