Obituary of Audrey McKerricher

Leona “Audrey” McKerricher, passed away peacefully Aug 2, 2020 at the age of 86 with love and support from her family.

Audrey will be remembered by her children, Marvee (Brian) Jmaeff, and Troy Mckerricher.  Siblings Ruby Libby, Kenny Schmidt, Roy Schmidt, Gail Eden, and Merna Kitchen.  She will be forever missed by her grandchildren, Sonja Jmaeff, Shalyn (Jarrod) Goddard, Shandra (Thorsten) Stoeterau and Ryan and Joseph McKerricher. She has 5 great grandchildren, Treysen, Kaiden, and Gage Goddard, as well as McKayla and Jess Bolitho. Along side she loved these animals Zilla, Tobi, Mocha, Moin, and Indigo.

She has reunited with her husband Roy Mckerricher, Father Simon and Mother Edith Schmidt, Brother Dennis Schmidt, brother in law Robert Kitchen, sister in law Marlene Schmidt, Niece Cammie Lee Issel, and Nephew Morris Libby.

Audrey was the second born to Simon and Edith Schmidt on November 17^th, 1933. 

Her grandchildren will remember her as she always had a crochet hook in hand and chocolates in the freezer, mints in her fanny pack, she taught us all how to make roll ups and home made noodles, many memories in the motor home in the summer months, waterslides and park adventures, winters in Disneyland and Arizona golfing, and most of all her ever-lasting sense of adventure. She loved her casinos and most of all her trips to Las Vegas. She was one classy well honored lady and will be forever missed.

Her great grandchildren will remember her by her numerous garage sales they attended, gardening, smelling the flowers, many sleepovers, fudge sickles, and her everlasting love for them.

On behalf of Audrey, her family wishes to sincerely thank the nurses and doctors on the 3^rd floor, Dr. Fine and Dr. Alsakati as well as all the nurses at Dunrovin Palliative Care, we would love to name you all but we would forget someone, along with Claytons Funeral Home.

As per her wishes, no funeral services will be held. Memorial donations may be made in Audrey’s name to the Quesnel and District Palliative Care Association or the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society.
