Betty Corder

Obituary of Betty Jean Corder

Betty Jean Corder was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan on August 12, 1933.

She passed away in Quesnel, BC, on September 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

During her life with her husband, Gordon, she lived all over BC through his career with the RCMP.

Eventually, they found their final home in Quesnel, where they got to be with their daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons for the last 28 years.

She was everyone’s favourite Auntie Betty, and her door was always open to anyone wanting to stop by for a visit. Betty and Gord’s house was forever filled with family, friends, and wonderful food, and they were always up for a spirited game of cards.

Life was quieter these last few years, with time spent reflecting on a life well-lived.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband, Gordon, her parents, and brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Ralph) Nelson, grandsons Matthew, Joshua (Zainab), and Seth (Jennifer), sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Heartfelt thanks for Betty’s compassionate care goes to Dr. M. Badenhorst, Dr. Ajemba, our outstanding Community Health Nurse, Amanda, and her team, and the many nurses who cared for Betty during her hospital stays.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
