Today is a hard day. It's a day we say goodbye to an amazing woman, my Aunt Betty. She was an amazing cook, baker, seamstress, farmer, wife and mother. She won many blue ribbons for her entries in the local fair, even for best haybale. She called things how she saw them. Tough but fair. I found her at times intimidating, when I was little, but she gave great hugs too. Loved by many. I'm with my family in heart today.

Betty did love cooking and gardening. When she came to visit, that's what she would enjoy the most, whisking and bustling around and helping out in the kitchen!!
Betty is now tending to God's special garden and without a doubt He is savoring her award winning preserves and enjoying her sumptuous cooking!!!
A rosary has been said in her memory. Cherish the many fond memories you have of her, they will bring you some comfort during this difficult time.
Our most heartfelt condolences. Irene & Charlene Misurelli (Gene's cousins)

Such a nicely fitting help mate to my Uncle Gene was our Betty.
She was capable, competent, and up for almost any task. Especially the farm related ones!
So ready and willing to share her knowledge and skills; so happy to share her harvests, and her sewing gifts (those fancy boxer shorts, and aprons).
I always loved getting her emails about The Wonders of Nature (a love we both shared), or pictures of what Gene was up to, or of the drier full of food for an upcoming party, even pictures of Sasha's birthday!
Betty had the patience to undo the hardest tangles, and I remember fondly their summer time and Christmas time Visits to the East Kootenays. I can hear still her no nonsense voice....
How lucky are we all, to have known such a lady, and the farm life that she so loved, (and was such natural at), out there on Johnson Road.
Sandi/Sandra (Gene's niece).

Oh Auntie, You will be loved and missed greatly by all that knew you. You will be forever missed for your loving heart, for your wonderful baking and cooking, and for taking time for those of us that needed your advice. Your thoughtful ways of thinking of others that you have done so often. You have left a huge void in many people’s lives.
May you rest in Peace Auntie and watch over us all. Be there for the ones that need you
Love Eileen, Glen, and families
