Evelyn (Blanche) Bro

March 12, 1926 ~ January 5, 2019

Evelyn was born in Salmon Arm, BC to William James Lindsey (born November 29 1883, died June 20 1929 ) and Lucy (Hill) Lindsey (born June 20, 1884, died May 5, 1947).

Evelyn grew up in Armstrong, Vernon and Enderby BC.  From the age of 8 she worked as a sitter in other family homes and cleaned churches.  By the time she was 16 she worked in Kamloops, BC at the TB Hospital, where she met my Dad, Mr. Arnold John Bro (born September 5, 1924, died November 6, 1998).  He was a resident in the hospital until he was well, then he moved back to Vancouver, BC.  In the meantime, Evelyn married Mr. John Mosimann.  Together they had 8 children, but only two Boys lived, Ivan Gilbert Mosimann (born June 14, 1946) and Daryl Lindsay Mosimann (born June, 1947).  They moved to Vancouver, where they we reintroduced with my Father, Arnold, and they became great Friends.

When John Mosimann left, he asked my dad his best friend to take over and help my mom with his two boys.  They had 5 more children, and after 18 years, Evelyn and Arnold were married in Burnaby BC.
