Italo Missana

Obituary of Italo Alberto Missana

Italo was born in Tolmezzo, Udine, Italy on June 16, 1933.

As a young boy, he worked on his family farm and herding goats in the Alps.  When he was 21, Italo first moved to Saskatchewan and later to British Columbia to work as a logger.  In 1968, Italo met and married Josephine.  Within a few years, they settled in Bouchie Lake where they raised their two children, Gino and Anita.

Italo worked at Dunkley Lumber for many years, where he loved working with machinery and tinkering.  Italo also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He loved the fresh air of Bouchie Lake and wildlife that he had in his backyard.

Italo is survived by his children, Gino and Anita, and is predeceased by his wife, Josephine, brothers, Pietro and Giovanni-Baptiste, and sister, Maria.

Italo will be missed and always fondly remembered for both his good nature and stubbornness.  He is now in the loving embrace of Jesus Christ, the Saviour, and reunited with his beloved Josephine.
