I remember Fred from Wells in the 1980s. He was a gentle, rough-and-ready kind of guy always up for a wee chat and definitely a drink or two when in town. I thought of him recently and hoped to see him again during one of my next visits to the Cariboo. Although that is not to be, he will remain always in my memory as someone I enjoyed knowing.
