Obituary of Norman Lloyd Brooks
On May 3rd 2021 with broken hearts we said goodbye to Norman Lloyd Brooks, husband, brother, dad, papa, grandpa, friend and capi of our ship and family.
Norman was born Oct 1 1952 and raised in Aldergrove on the family dairy farm. Norman is predeceased
by his parents Art & Dorothy Brooks, his brothers, Robert, Ray, Tom and Donald.
He leaves behind his sister Joan; wife Janet; 4 children Tammy (Morgan), Tom, Jason and Dana; son-in-law Luke; and 12 grandchildren Terran, Rylan, Madison (Maddy), Jacob, Saisha, Riley, Taya, Jessie, Asha (Elliot), Jamie, Charlotte (Charlie), and Audrey.
In 1987 he met Janet and together they blended their families into a beautiful life story of fishing, camping, ball, skiing, sledding, duck hunting and exploring every corner of this province.
He spent many hours from making sausage (so many recipes … so little time) to brining and smoking meat. Some of the favorites include Turduckin, Hurkey, spaghetti and meatballs (almost 100 in each batch), chow mien, corned beef, seafood chowder to his infamous wienie appetizers.
He took great pride in driving and showing both the 1910 and 1933 Hupmobiles his parents restored which will continue to be a legacy enjoyed by all his children and grandchildren. He shared all the things he loved with his wife, children, grandchildren, and closest friends.
His story, is our story and will forever live in our hearts.
