Obituary of Sharon Lynn Clark

Sharon Lynn Clark, 71, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on February 19th, 2021 in Quesnel, BC with her beloved Ken, husband of 50 years by her side.

Born in Regina, SK in August 1949, Sharon was the cherished daughter of the late Hector & Walda Hartnett. Sharon was raised in Quesnel and enjoyed lifelong friendships formed in childhood.

In the summer of ’69, on a visit to Vancouver, Sharon was introduced by friends to Ken, her future husband. Ken & Sharon were married a year later in Quesnel. In 1972, as young parents, they made the decision to move back to Quesnel permanently to raise their family.

Sharon enjoyed many adventures with her young family in the 80s – whether it was time spent at Dragon Lake, camping trips with friends in the “boonies”, weekends at the racetrack or holiday traditions at home; Sharon was warm-hearted and much fun to be around.

Sharon adored her three daughters, her grandchildren, her Boston Terriers, Purdy's Chocolates, White Spot burgers, a perfect cup of tea and good treats. Brady, her first great grandchild was welcomed in late 2018 with tremendous pride and joy.

While significantly impacted in later years by Multiple Sclerosis, Sharon continued to find much joy and humour in the everyday, including a deep appreciation for a quiet afternoon in her beautiful garden, visits from dear friends, lake cottage trips, travels to the Arizona sun, camping in the Chilcotin and time spent with family in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

Her deep abiding love of Ken, and his absolute loyal, loving devotion to her were a tremendous light. Their profound love carried them through the remarkable challenges of Multiple Sclerosis, and Ken's wholehearted dedication to her care ensured that Sharon was able to continue living in their cherished home.

Sharon was greeted in eternity by her parents, Hector and Walda, her granddaughter, Rose Lynn, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sharon is loved, celebrated, and remembered fondly by her husband Ken, daughters Kristy (Chris), Tracey (Cyril), Sara (Mike), grandchildren Jordan (Tyler), Larissa, Kaitlynn, Clark, Nadine and great grandson Brady.
