Obituary of Ray Simmonds

Raymond Simmonds was born January 6, 1938, in Cadomin Alberta to Leslie and Laura Simmonds. The family would later move to Hinton AB where Ray met and married Rose, his wife of 60 years. In 1962 their son Larry was born and then their daughter Elaine in 1965.
The family moved to Prince Rupert where Ray worked in the Pulp Mill for 6 years. In 1972 they moved to Quesnel, which would become their forever home. Ray worked until his retirement at Cariboo Pulp and Paper as a Machine Tender. He loved camping, fishing, quadding and pretty much anything outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Ray was predeceased by his father, mother, brother Blaine and his loving wife Rose. He leaves behind his Son Larry (Maureen), daughter Elaine (Garth), Granddaughters Kyleen (Tyler), Kaitlyn (Curtis) and his Great grandchildren Damon, Riley, Jayce, and Serenity.

There will be no funeral. In leu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
