Obituary of Elaine Joanne Paterson

Our beloved Mom, Elaine (known by some as “E”) died suddenly on February 5th at the age of 68. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Elaine is survived by many loved ones.
Her common law spouse: Bruce Charleton
The father of her four children: Murray Mills
Her four children : Julie ( Labud), Kenneth (Stephanie), Ami ( Dean)
and Leanna ( Clinton)
...And the Joy of her life, her seven Grandchildren:
Isaiah, Victoria, Alexandra, Ava, Brodie, Logan and Baby Girl M coming in April.
Born to Jim and Erna Paterson, Elaine was one of six beautiful children: Angela, Andrea, Elaine, Brad, Bobbie and Jodi.
Mom’s love for her family was unmatched.

We say with humility that our mom Elaine was well loved and respected by her family, friends, and colleagues. She was well known in the community, holding several different positions in the Social Services field. She had a way of connecting with people that was real, raw and honest. She was one of few, that could truly reach people with her empathetic nature. She was compassionate, understanding and had a kind, calm, and gentle demeanour.
She held positions at Amata Transition House, Quesnel Shelter and Support Society, and Long name (North Cariboo Aboriginal Family Program Society).
