May 8, 1945 - January 4, 2025

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Vicki West, surrounded by her family while she was being lovingly cared for in Dunrovin Lodge. Vicki was born in Edmonton, Alberta, the oldest of eight children, to Elmer and Lucy McNelly, and grew up on her parent’s farm on the outskirts of Fort St. John. She married Harry West in August of 1963 and they moved to Quesnel in 1972 to raise their family.

Vicki worked at the GR Baker Memorial Hospital and was very involved in the Quesnel Community, especially with the Child Development Centre and Palliative Care organizations.

She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. A devoted wife and mother, she will be fondly remembered by her husband, Harry, her remaining three sisters, her three children, Joanne (Ron Kopetski), Jeanette (Richard McCart) and Stanley, as well as a large extended family including seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many, many dear friends.

A celebration of life tea will be held on Sunday January 12, 2025, 2-4 pm, at the Sandman Hotel, Conference Room, in Quesnel, BC. No formal service by request.
