Obituary of Brian Rae Daggitt

It is with great sadness that after a brief illness Rae Daggitt passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Tammy (Dan), Shelley (Phil), Randy (Julie), grandchildren Tanya (Marlon), Shayne (Ivy), Kristen (Chris), Dustin, Shelby, Hailey (Dave), Hayden (Hannah), Spencer, great-grandchildren Chase (Raelyn), Ryder, Tylor, Hannah, Emery, Kinley, Hadley, and great-great granddaughter Rowan. He is survived by his sister Deanna.

Rae’s greatest joy in life was spending time with family. He was very involved with his grandkids & great grandkids hockey, never missing a game.

His love of travel took him to many special places, and he was especially proud to attend his grandson’s wedding with his family last May in Ontario.

Rae enjoyed spending time on Dragon Lake, was very involved with the Quesnel Seniors Centre, looked forward to his daily coffee club, and appreciated the friendship and support of all the members of the seniors centre community. Rae was an active member of the BC Hydro Power Pioneers, Shrine Club, and a member of the Masonic lodge.

Rae was predeceased by his loving wife of over 50 years Sharon Daggitt and his daughter in law Carol Daggitt.

Thank you to everyone who shared and was a part of Rae’s life.  Thank you to Dr. Aziz and Dr. Ali and all the amazing and supportive nursing staff for your care and compassion for Rae.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2024, date to be announced.
